CSUN Connect Mobile App
CSUN Connect is a mobile application designed to support students at California State University, Northridge. The app focuses on improving communication, accessibility, and student support services — especially for deaf and hard-of-hearing students.
Problem and Solution
Many students, especially deaf students, face challenges when trying to access important campus information. Communication barriers make it difficult to schedule appointments, receive announcements, and stay updated with school services. Existing systems are not always inclusive or easy to use.
CSUN Connect provides a centralized platform where students can access important information, book appointments with advisors, and receive updates in a clear and accessible way. The app includes caption-supported content and simple navigation to help users understand information quickly.
Design Approach
The design focuses on accessibility, clarity, and ease of use. I used a clean layout with strong visual hierarchy to support users who rely more on visual information. Buttons and navigation are simple and intuitive, allowing users to complete tasks without confusion.
Key Features
Online appointment booking with advisors

Reflection
This project is very personal to me as a deaf student. I wanted to create a solution that supports students like me who experience communication barriers in everyday campus life. Through this project, I learned how UX design can create more inclusive and supportive environments for everyone.
